Safe-PP
The single-walled plastic flue that remains 100% flue gas-tight
With a normal plastic flue, problems can arise over the years due to thermal expansion and the effect of condensation. If these result in flue gas leaks, unsafe situations may arise. But not with Burgerhout’s Safe-PP! This system has five unique safety features that together ensure 100% gas tightness.
From now on, Safe-PP works even faster. The ultra-short 43° bend enables very compact construction. And when renovating an aluminium flue, the new bend can be placed exactly where the old bend was. The 87-degree bend has also been perfected.
The time-saving Safe-PP fixation bracket can be installed very quickly. This bracket has two click positions: position 1 for brackets around the socket and position 2 for brackets around the flue pipe. Download the document ‘Burgerhout checklist for mounting brackets’ to read more about realising a safe and properly functioning flue system.
Safe-PP has five unique safety features
- Safe-PP has five unique safety features
- Extra thick wall: extra stable, extra safe.
- Sealing ring with double seal: double tightness guarantee.
- Smart bends: perfect drainage of condensation, no problems due to standing water.
- Solid fixation bracket: minimises displacement due to expansion.
- Fixation edge on each socket: keeps the fixation bracket in place.
Since the introduction of Safe-PP, the application of plastic flues has increased rapidly. The reason is that plastic has a number of key advantages:
•Fast: plastic pipes are easy to cut to size.
•Safe: no risk of injury due to sharp metal edges.
•Clean: no aluminium corrosion.
•Aesthetically pleasing: with a parallel connection, both the air supply and the flue are made of Safe-PP plastic.
•Durable: Safe-PP has been tested for durability and is UV-stabilised.
Mounting brackets is much quicker thanks to the unique Safe-PP fixation bracket V2.0. The bracket is fitted after the flue system has been set up and is secured next to the pipe. No more drilling behind the pipes. Just set up the system, mark it and click the brackets into place, that’s it. It couldn’t be easier. The click method with which the bracket is secured makes it completely foolproof. Installing the bracket simply can’t go wrong. The bracket is always perfectly fixed thanks to the two-stage click system that is always secured. This will prevent the system from sliding and benefits safety.
