TERMINAL DESIGN
The key aspect of wall and roof terminals is that they must function perfectly. It is also important that a terminal can be installed quickly and easily. Flue gas must be discharged from the boiler and air must be drawn in, while the connected appliance must not be affected by the wide variety of wind effects around the house. Thanks to our modern test facilities, knowledge and years of experience in the field of aerodynamics we can guarantee that every Burgerhout product offers the best quality and functionality. But we know that home owners love design, technology must look aesthetically pleasing. That is why our high-quality roof and wall terminals also look good.
INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS
- Always check the boiler manufacturer's instructions to see which type of transit has been approved by them, so that you know the combination of boiler and transit is correct.
- Place the conduit in the correct outlet area, taking care to ensure sufficient distance to ventilation openings.
- Do not place the transit too close to rising facades and other architectural obstacles.
- The wall duct must not be placed too close under overhangs and may not be placed directly next to rainwater drainage pipes.
- We prefer the use of a roof terminal; place it near the ridge of the roof in connection with possible hindrance from the plume.
- When replacing the boiler, also replace the drainage system with the conduit, see NPR 3378 part 45.
- Secure the drainage system to the building in accordance with the installation instructions.
- For aspect 2, 3 and 4, check NPR 3378.
